VAG Motorsport’s new premises Vandalised.

Ok, that sounds a heck of a lot more dramatic than it really was – but it made you look!  The new VAG Motorsport premises in Laser Park are nice and new, but this means the place looked a little too clinical, like a hospital. To breathe some life into the workshop and to make it somewhere that people will want to visit just to say Hi, we enlisted the services of well-known graffiti artist Damn Vandal. The brief was simple, fill the walls with VAG-related awesomeness. There’s a reason this man flies around SA tagging things…

The walls were perfect for Damn Vandal – expansive and white – a better canvas doesn’t exist. The longest wall was tagged with all things VAG so you’ll find a couple of Golfs, a Porsche and performance bits and pieces all incorporated into the artwork. The far wall features the VAG Motorsport logo breaking through the plaster – pretty wicked. It’s mad to see what the initial sketches looked like compared to the final product. This man is talented!

So yeah, the shop is coming along nicely. We’ll bring you more updates as we move along with things, but right now, we’re on track for the planned opening date, which we’ll let you all in on soon.
